Message MeGlasgow: The Best Craic in Britain
People from Glasgow will tell you it's the friendliest city in the UK and they're right but they're also understating it. The warmth here is genuine and the humour is sharp and fast and slightly terrifying until you understand that taking the piss is how Glasgow says it likes you.
The city has reinvented itself several times over and the current version β Finnieston restaurants, the West End's creative infrastructure, the Merchant City's social scene β is genuinely excellent. Compare the directness of Glasgow to the more guarded social culture of Edinburgh and you understand immediately why Glaswegians are so proud of the distinction.
